Be Joyful

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in EVERYTHING by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the PEACE OF GOD, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7

These are verses I memorized years ago and they are written on my heart. There are times when I still need to remember not to be anxious, but I eventually listen to my heart saying these verses. I didn't really understand what the "peace of God" was until I experienced it. It's having peace inside you, even when you're going through heartbreaking situations and trials. It does "surpass ALL understanding" and you know it comes from GOD alone. Praise the Lord for His wonderful promises!

I love, love, love what I do. I am passionate about the things I create and the talents God has placed in me. I SO appreciate the time you take to look at my things and the comments you all leave me!

Blessings to you!

Heartfelt Creations - Dahlia Bouquet Album

Happy Wednesday!

Today I have a 6" x 6" album using Heartfelt Creations' beautiful stamps, papers and dies!  Here's the front and side.

Click on the photo for a better view

I purchased this Book Binding Album at Hobby Lobby for $7.99, which I thought was a pretty good deal!  It has 8 heavy-duty pages with plenty of space for embellishments inbetween.

For the inside of the album,  I used corner sections of the designer papers and matched them with journal blocks.  I also added solid color mats for some of the journal blocks if they needed it.  Here are photos of the inside.  These aren't very good photos, but I thought it might help you if you wanted to make one of these.  You can also add lots of embellishments inside if you want to!  (You can click on any of the photos for a closer view.)

Aren't these designer papers gorgeous?  I just love these!!!

Well, that's my project for today,I hope you like it and it gives you some inspiration!  Be sure to visit the HC Blog to see the all the designers beautiful creations this week!

I'm submitting this to the Word Art Wednesday Challenge #91 - Anything Goes.

Blessings!

Kathy

Happy Wednesday everyone!

It's time for more inspiration with Heartfelt Creations!  This week I have a card using the Blooming Dahlia Set.

Click on photo for a better view

The large and small dahlia blooms are 2 separate stamps from the set that I combined together and the leaves are stems from the Open Leaf Set.  I stamped these all on white card stock, colored with pencils, fussy cut the flowers and die cut the leaves with the new matching die.  I wanted the beauty of the flowers to stand out, so I placed them on a white background with a little embossed border on the bottom, a lace bow and some pearls.

CottageCutz Bella Spring Tree

Hi there!

Today I have a center-step card using the Bella Spring Tree, Picket Fence Border and Birdcage & Stand Dies from CottageCutz!

This tree is so cute!  I cut it with the Iced Cocoa and Reflecting Pool papers, trimmed off the flowers from the Reflecting Pool and added them to the Iced Cocoa tree.  The birds were cut from both papers using the Birdcage & Stand Die.  These were all glued to the Natural White mat that was embossed with the Rosa EF (Cuttlebug).  I like having the diecuts against white or cream, but still giving it a little texture from the embossing folders.

The three panel were done with the Iced Cocoa, embossing the two sides with the Rosa Border EF.  The Picket Fence Border was cut with Reflecting Pool paper and then embossed with Square Lattice EF.

I added pearls, bow, button and sentiment to finish it!

Here is a side view of the card.

Here are the dies I used:

Card recipe:

CottageCutz Die: Bella Spring Tree, Picket Fence Border, Birdcage & Stand
Stamp: Noteworthy (SU)
Paper: Natural White (Neenah), Iced Cocoa, Reflecting Pool (Coordinations)
Ink: Onyx Black (VersaFine)
Accessories: Bow-Easy, Havana Brown Seam Binding (Really Reasonable Ribbon), Square Lattice Embossing Folder (SU), Rosa and Rosa Border Embossing Folders (Cuttlebug), button, fiber, adhesive pearls, word window punch, modern label punch (SU)

*** Instructions for making the center-step card can be found here on Split Coast Stampers.

CottageCutz Daisy Showers

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Today I have a card using CottageCutz's Daisy Showers Die!

This is such a cute die!  I had so much fun trying out different color combinations, and finally decided on yellow, green and white.  The die was cut using Solar White Cardstock by Neenah and colored with chalk inks and makeup sponges.  Here's a little close-up for you.

I added Aleene's Paper Glaze to the flower centers to pop them a bit.  I also added an extra flower on the boot in the opposite colors.  The card base is Lemon Tart Cardstock by Papertry Ink made into a square 4-1/4" card with Solar White mat particially embossed with Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.  The sentiment is from Seeds of Summer by JustRite.  I finished it off with white lace from Really Reasonable Ribbon and Kaiser Craft adhesive pearls.

Here is the die I used...
